Despite Jim Delany’s desire to rule the universe, there are other things going on there in the ACC. There are some huge games this weekend with BCS implications for a number of teams. Georgia Tech is going to the ACC Title Game. Did you think that was possible 3 weeks ago? Look maybe you can argue that the Yellow Jackets backed into the game after Miami self-imposed a bowl ban, but I say win games, get in position and see what happens. That’s what Georgia Tech did. Now if they could knock off arch rival Georgia this weekend some of those early season losses might be all but forgotten. FromtheRumble lays out the post-season scenarios for the Yellow Jackets. It’s on in Clemson, SC this week. The Tigers have rolled out to a 10-1 steam-rolling every ACC team they’ve played, outside of the FSU defeat. You want respect Tigers? You want a likely BCS Bowl game? Beat top 15 ranked SEC in-state rival South Carolina. ShakintheSouthLand is ready for the heavyweight fight. Florida State has heard enough discussion about their hated rival the Florida Gators. Could Florida beat Oregon? Can Florida get in the national title hunt? The Seminoles can end it all and stake their claim as the state of Florida’s top program if they can knock off the Gat-uhs.  TomahawkNation has the video of Jimbo Fisher’s comments in preparation for Florida. DukeSportsBlog has the right attitude about Blue Devil football. No matter what happens this season it’s already been a success for the Duke football program.
