Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp has officially released the two-deep depth chart for the 2013 Florida Gators football season.

Using all the weapons wisely

Florida junior quarterback Jeff Driskel was the biggest and baddest man on the field all the way through high school. By the time he finished his senior season Driskel stood 6-foot-3 and weighted 230+ [pounds. He didn’t shy away from contact, he invited it. Now the rifle armed quarterback with winged feet is going against guys as big and bigger than he, he knows things have to change.

Everyone Wants the Gators

The Florida Gators will never have to worry about playing a silly football schedule not worthy of national recognition. Not only are the gators in the toughest conference in America, they also draw a very significant out of conference schedule in most years. In 2014, the Southeastern Conference made sure the Gators would again have one of the toughest menus in all of college football.

Toledo offense has Florida’s attention

The film has shown the Florida defense all it needs to know about what it will face against Toledo this weekend. The Gators have to be ready to run. The Rockets want to snap the ball as fast as possible, trying to keep the defense from getting a chance to breathe or substitute. It’s tough to replicate in practice, but Florida knows what it will see on Saturday.

The Florida Gators plan to have starting running back Matt Jones and middle linebacker Antonio Morrison back in the lineup when they visit Miami next week. Jones, hit with a viral infection in July, is nearing full strength, according to Florida coach Will Muschamp. Jones has been ruled out for Saturday's opener against Toledo, but should be cleared soon. As a freshman last...

Florida LB Antonio Morrison’s Suspension Reduced To 1 Game

Antonio Morrison received some good news from Gators head coach Will Muschamp on Monday. The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Morrison has had his two game suspension reduced to one.  Coincidentally, Morrison will return for Florida’s tilt with Miami. “I just don’t feel like his actions warranted a two-game suspension,” Muschamp said. “He’s very remorseful about the...

Gators' Jeff Driskel too valuable to take risks

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- From his place in the "Monday Night Football" booth last week, ESPN analyst Jon Gruden had some advice for Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and his hotly anticipated return from a devastating knee injury. "Think touchdown, then first down, then get down," Gruden said. In other words, protect yourself. Which brings us to...

Florida’s Antonio Morrison Has Suspension Reduced To 1 Game

Notebook: Pease excited to see Robinson

The hype around Demarcus Robinson has been building since he enrolled in January. The Gators desperately needed a weapon in the passing game, and judging from the comments of coaches and players, it could be Robinson. Even as the often even-keeled offensive coordinator Brent Pease spoke about the freshman on Monday, it was easy to see how anxious the Gators are to get him on the field.

Notebook: Injury and suspension updates

The Gators spent all of fall camp trying to get offensive lineman Jon Halapio and running back Matt Jones back on the field. With more clarity on the status of the two, Florida learned over the weekend that starting right tackle Chaz Green (labrum) will need surgery on Wednesday that will keep him out for the 2013 season. It will bring shuffling up front for the Gators.
