The Auburn Tigers are gearing up for the stretch run.
The 24th-ranked Tigers return from an open date to start their final three-game stretch at No. 14 Georgia. Auburn is 6-and-3 with Samford and Alabama visiting Jordan-Hare Stadium after this game.
Coach Gene Chizik said Sunday the Tigers spent the open week on self-evaluation and working ''on some things that we felt like we had to clean up.''
He says one big priority was cutting down on penalties, The Tigers have been flagged 23 times for 196 yards in their three defeats.
Chizik says Auburn's not good enough to overcome those kind of mistakes. He says, ''That's undisciplined football.''
The Tigers took Saturday off after before returning to practice Sunday evening.
