The Auburn Tigers have suspended All-SEC running back Michael Dyer from the Chick-fil-A Bowl for violating an undisclosed team rule.
Dyer is one of the leading running backs in the nation and was instrumental in helping Auburn win the BCS National Championship Game last January. In fact, he was named offensive MVP for that game.
Dyer is the first Auburn player to rush for more than a 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons with the Tigers.
He has more total yards than any Auburn player and ends the 2011 season with 1,242 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He put up 1,093 yards last season — an Auburn freshman record.
