The first of the countless All-American teams out there came down today as the AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) named their All-American's. On that list was one Montee Ball, who became the only Badger in history to be named a 1st team All-American in back-to-back seasons by the AFCA.
Ball was also the only offensive player on the team to return from the 2011 team, joining linebacker Manti Te'o of Notre Dame as the only two players overall to make back-to-back appearances on the team. The AFCA has been naming an All-American team since 1945.
Overall Alabama led the way with three players on the team while Stanford and Clemson were the only other schools with multiple players on the team with two each.

Can Badgers leave their baggage behind?
MADISON, Wis. When the pulse of a town and ultimately one's job security hinges on the outcome of football games each Saturday in the fall, a college coach will delve to great depths to summon an answer for a loss.
Sometimes, he may even turn to a higher power.

Line's resurgence justifies early-season change
MADISON, Wis. Reflections 80 days after Wisconsins worst performance of the football season come with the kind of blunt, honest criticism members of the teams offensive line couldnt diagnose when they were too close to the situation.
Back on Sept. 8, they had no answers. Wisconsin lost a stunning 10-7 decision at Oregon State that day, and the Badgers flaws were obvious. A program...
Badgers hoping to repeat in Indy
If there is some advantage to be gleaned whether tactical or practical in playing for a second straight conference championship in the same venue, Wisconsin players are clinging to such a hope like grass stains on a football jersey this week.
Five losses this season? So what. A third-place finish in the Leaders Division? Big Deal. Wisconsin has been here, done that when it comes...
5 Badgers Things to Watch for - The Big Ten Championship edition
It almost seemed inevitable that Wisconsin would be sitting right where they are this week, you know representing the Leaders division in Indianapolis. However, the journey there wasn't exactly what any of us would have imagined it to be. That said we have a shot to do something no other team in Wisconsin history has ever done - win three straight Big Ten football championships...

On Saturday night, the Nebraska Cornhuskers (10-2) and the Wisconsin Badgers (7-5) will face off in the second Big Ten Championship Game.
While the game features last year’s champion, Wisconsin, this season’s championship has a much different feel then the Wisconsin-Michigan State classic from 2011, and the two teams’ paths to this game couldn’t be much different.
Nebraska Cornhuskers...
Sexy Six Week 14: You Hear That? K.M’s Coming (Bryan: 44-33-1, $1,090, K.M: 42-35-1, -$550, HH: 24-14 $620)
Well well well what do you know? I was concerned about K.M Venne. Our chance at going back to back on the three-feature profit was in danger with his Week 12 performance. It looked like a long shot he’d be able to get it back. Nonetheless week 13 rolls around and K.M drops a +480 week to get himself back to a -550 and now week 14 becomes a must have week for our resident Virginia...
