We are bringing the noise on this Monday with lots of little information from the weekend. First things first, fresh off their 52-14 victory over Miami, the UC Bearcats earned themselves top 25 rankings in both polls. They move from 23 to 21 in whatever poll had them ranked 23 last week. They jump in at 20 in the other one. Or vice versa. My caring about polls goes as far as the blog poll that I participate in. That will be posted after this next paragraph.

Another result of the UC win over Miami was that the Golden Toe Tony Miliano was named the Big East Special Teams Player of the Week. It's the second straight week a UC player has earned that honor. Let's read the part about Miliano.

Miliano was named BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week after he scored 10 points as part of the Bearcats’ BIG EAST-leading seventh straight win, a 52-14 decision against Miami (Ohio). He scored six points in the first half, with a field goal and three PATs, to help the Bearcats take a 24-6 lead into halftime.

Great stuff there. Cameron Cheatham and George Winn were named on the Honor Roll.

The third and final piece of news on this Monday isn't actually news. It's just my week 6 Blog Poll ballot. There was a lot of moving and shaking as formerly undefeated teams lost. LSU, Georgia, Florida State and Texas took double digit falls to the land of the once beaten. TCU, Northwestern and Texas Tech all dropped out. As did Nebraska. The top 5 changed dramatically. Alabama stayed #1, but I put South Carolina 2. I'm not impressed with the middle to bottom of the Pac 12. Oregon will get a chance to move up though. Florida moves to 4 and West Virginia 5. Notre Dame, Kansas St, Ohio St, Louisviille and Rutgers are the rest of the top 10. I have UC ranked 12th, which will surely land me on the bias part of the write up tomorrow. To be fair, I have UC ranked over Oregon St, Ohio and La Tech in the undefeateds, it's not like I'm puposefully ranking them high because I like them. I also moved Mississippi St ahead. I have the teams who haven't lost above the teams who have. That's why Louisville is 9th after all. I don't think Louisville is the 9th best team in the country.

If you agree, disagree and have suggestions, tell me and I'll change it before the deadline. I'm a man of the people.
