WinnersOklahomaOklahoma needed to make a statement after losing to Kansas State in Norman. They did it by blowing out Texas Tech in Lubbock. And in case people missed that they destroyed Texas in the Red River Rivalry. And after Tech did in number five West Virginia, The Sooners have jumped right back to number two in the Big 12 right behind the undefeated Wildcats.TCUAfter Casey Pachall was lost for the season after checking in to rehab it was up to redshirt freshman Trevone Boykin to lead the Horned Frogs to a Big 12 title. In his first week on the job Boykin threw three interceptions as TCU lost to Iowa State. This week Boykin threw four touch downs to help TCU dominate the Bears in Waco. It is only a small sample size but things are looking up for TCU.Texas TechWe still don’t know what the Red Raider are. They were undefeated having faced only unranked opponents. Then they hosted their first true test in Oklahoma and lost. Now they have beat fifth ranked West Virginia in blow out fashion. As it stands they are one of the top teams in the Big 12. Of course it could all change next week when they travel to face the Horned Frogs.LosersWest VirginiaHow the mighty have fallen. A top five ranking, and the top offense in the nation. They have shown zero defense to date and it was going to catch up to them sooner or later. Now they will face Kansas State, who will surely be in the top five next weeks. What seemed like a season destined for a National Title run is now in danger of being a very disappointing season.BaylorAnother top offense without any defense. Nick Florence took a major step back tonight, and other leaders on that team made huge mistakes. A team that seemed to have its season unraveling after losing their starting quarterback hammered the Bears at home. Next week they will travel to Austin to face Texas in the disappointment bowl.TexasLosing to your biggest rival on the game of the week is always bad, but getting destroyed by them is cause to panic. Texas now has almost zero chance at winning the Big 12, and the loser of next week’s match against Baylor will be the biggest goat in the very competitive Big 12.
