Steve Spurrier saw any form of a special season for his South Carolina Gamecocks come to an end in The Swamp on Saturday. After a 44-11 loss at the hands of the Gators, Spurrier was understandably upset over all of the turnovers his team gave up in the contest and that led to quick points for a Florida offense that couldn't do a lot in the first half. Spurrier talks about it here.

Spurrier said the ninth-ranked Gamecocks (6-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) can still achieve all their goals, chief among them taking control of the SEC's Eastern Division this week when they play at No. 3 Florida (6-0, 5-0).
South Carolina's offense struggled enough Saturday where Steve Spurrier had to make a quarterback change. After the game, Spurrier wasn't sure who his starter would be this weekend. A question that wasn't expected this season is back in the mix for the Gamecocks.

The Florida Gators host the South Carolina Gamecocks today in what could amount to a battle for control of the SEC East. I’ll keep this short because the die-hards among you have already joined the tailgate of champions. The weather is pretty close to perfect and Fall is here. That makes for a great day of football, not only in Gainesville, but across the SEC.
