Photo of Mayweather counting money

They don’t call this guy “Money” for nothing. He seemingly has himself (money) coming out of his ears and isn’t afraid to put himself (money) on the line. He’s made large wagers on sporting events in the past including winning $400,000 on Alabama’s BCS National Championship game last year.

He also (wisely) bet against Tim Tebow in last year’s playoffs when Denver traveled to New England to face the Patriots in the AFC Divisional round. The result: 41-23 Patriots and $1 million in Mayweather’s pocket. That bet seems like chump change for this one though.

According to a bookie on Twitter, Mayweather is going to be rooting hard for Denard Robinson and the Michigan football Wolverines this weekend in the Cowboys Classic against the Alabama Crimson Tide. So much so that “Money” is putting up $3 million monies on Michigan covering the 12-point spread.

I know $3,000 is called “three large”, but what do you call $3 million, “three huge”? Either way, risky bet, especially with the playing status of Michigan’s best running back Fitz Touissant still in question because of an offseason DUI. But I guess when they call you Money, the little things don’t matter — and apparently the “huge” things don’t either.

Alabama Football analyst weighs in on the Michigan game

Alabama Football analyst John Mitchell from Bama Hammer stopped by to answer a few questions about the big game. 1. What worries you most about playing Michigan? It’s always worrisome to play a team as good as Michigan on the opening weekend. Despite our best guesses, we never know what a team is going to look like in a new season. My biggest concern is Michigan’s ability...

Michigan fan makes Denard Robinson tribute video while nation collectively vomits

The Michigan Wolverines think they have an ace up their sleeve with Denard Robinson. He has had some exciting plays throughout his career at Michigan, usually against shoddy defenses. He is going to make an excellent slot receiver once he reaches the NFL, because he simply cannot throw a football. A game of 500 will [...]

Alabama's D anxious to meet Robinson

Alabama's defense must: make good decisions, push the pocket, avoid reaching, stay on their feet and keep shifty Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson contained. Otherwise, as Nick Saban said, “This guy will ball fake you like Michael Jordan and take off running and you’ll say, ‘Well how did that happen?’”

Update: Michigan Students Would Rather Have College Football Than Threesomes

16 on the field, number one in my heart. They’re kidding and this is not documentary footage (I think), but Pat Stansik and the band Mind’s Eyes have released a video for their Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson anthem ‘I Love You Denard’, and yes, they’d rather watch Denard gain a yard than have a three-way make-out session with two foxy-ish Michigan teens.Fan songs can...

Pit Fight – Michigan vs. Alabama

Pit Fight – Michigan vs. AlabamaThe theory behind this feature is take an Alabama guy and through them in the ring (a chatroom) with a Michigan guy, mix with three parts excitement and throw in a dash of bravado and see what happens. “I Love You Denard” music video

As if Michigan alum Pat Stansik had not made his feelings toward Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson when his song was released a couple months ago, there is a creepy video to couple with it now.  Stansik acts and sings as his buddies from the band Mind’s Eye, which apparently includes former Michigan basketball player Zack Novak, join along in the lead singer’s obsession...
