In a press release from the Brigham Young Cougars, Kyle Van Noy made it official that he will stay for his senior season. Van Noy was named second-team All-American and Poinsettia Bowl Defensive MVP in 2012. In the press release, Van Noy states his reason for staying as follows: I’ve decided to stay and complete my senior season at BYU. I plan to finish what I started and feel like I’ve still got some unfinished business. I’m looking forward to being on the field this next season with my Cougar teammates.Van Noy signed with BYU in February 2009. At the time he was one of the nation's top rated outside linebacking prospects. He did not begin play at BYU until 2010. In three seasons he has lived up to all expectations. He has 156 tackles, 22 sacks, 44.5 tackles-for-loss, five interceptions, 3 fumble recoveries, 11 forced fumbles, 20 quarterback hurries, 10 pass breakups, three blocked punts, and four touchdowns.
