WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Michael Campanaro caught three first-half touchdown passes from Tanner Price and Wake Forest took a step closer to becoming bowl eligible with a 28-14 win over Boston College on Saturday. Campanaro tied an Atlantic Coast Conference record with 16 receptions for 123 yards and became only the eighth player in school history to catch three TD passes in a game. Price was outstanding, completing 39 of 57 passes for 293 yards as the Demon Deacons (5-4, 3-4) bounced back from a 29-point thrashing last week to No. 9 Clemson. Wake Forest came in with the lowest-scoring offense in the ACC, but looked sharp early with Price hooking up on touchdown strikes of 5, 27 and 16 yards to Campanaro to build a 21-7 halftime lead. Chase Rettig threw for 357 yards for Boston College (2-7, 1-5), but turned the ball over four times, three of those on interceptions.

In the comments section during the game, I predicted a BC comeback. The momentum and our success passing had me thinking that we would score enough to tie it and win in overtime. It never really got that close. But watching the game back I understand why I got excited. There were multiple moments when the offense played really well and Rettig was completing tough throws. But there...
The first game in the States for the Baby Deacs was a victorious effort, with Wake Forest rallying from ten points down to really take control in the second half and ultimately win by the final margin of 73-66. Travis McKie led scoring with 17 points, but several other Deacs added in double digit scoring efforts, and Madison Jones had a tremendous effort on defense, chipping...
On a clear but chilly Saturday, Wake Forest took care of business and kept bowl hopes alive by defeating the Boston College Eagles 28-14. Tanner Price had a career day and put up bigger numbers in some categories than have been seen in the entirety of the ACC this season. Also, the resurgent Michael Campanaro had three touchdown catches on route to the victory.
-For a change...
Eric Tetlow, who has been a longtime target of Wake Forest and offensive coach Jonathan Himebach, made it official and committed to the Demon Decon program on Wednesday morning. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound offensive lineman from Richmond (Va.) Godwin High School has the versatility to play center, guard, or tackle at the college level.
Since de-committing from Wake Forest early in the summer, Cypress Bay (Fla.) senior receiver Alex Montgomery has starting looking around at other options, including learning some more about Wisconsin.
1. Florida State (8-1) Big Thursday night game coming up for the Noles.
2. Clemson (8-1) Tigers threw up, down, and all around the Duke defense.
3. North Carolina (6-3) The Tar Heels close out the season with three very winnable games.
4. Miami (5-4) Benefited from three turnovers in their win against Virginia Tech.
5. NC State (5-4) In a word: ouch.
6. Duke (6-4) Have been outscored...
