The string of good news for the University of Louisville continues. Around 2:30 this afternoon, Charlie Strong received his third commitment from the 2014 class.
Jeffrey Williams, a 6-foot 240-pound outside linebacker from Tallahassee, FL., has verbally committed to Louisville. H/T to Jody Demling for breaking the news.
Williams is rated as a 3-star prospect and has scholarship offers from Florida State, Ole Miss and North Carolina. He eventually chose Louisville over UNC. Williams picked up the offer from Louisville just three weeks ago. He visited Florida State over the weekend.
Williams joins dual threat quarterback Reggie Bonnafon and safety Michael Johnson in Charlie Strong’s 2014 class.

Charlie Strong is changing the culture of the Louisville football program. That has been said over and over since Strong was hired. The results on the football field aren’t the only thing changing around here. For the first time in about five or six years it looks like (fingers crossed) we’ll have nice weather for the annual spring game.
I realize all of you folks would have...

Louisville Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater became the latest athlete to cross-dress when he posted this photo to his Instagram page. Initially it was thought that he was doing this for his own entertainment, but according to the first comment on Reddit, he did it for a Gender Studies class. In the class, the professor was going to give out extra credit to anyone that...

Louisville running back Dominique Brown was primed for a huge season in 2012. The Cincinnati native made the switch from quarterback to running back as a sophomore in 2011 after three games into the season and ended up leading Louisville in rushing.
Unfortunately for Brown, a nagging knee injury caused him to use a redshirt season in 2012. Coach Strong said prior to the Sugar Bowl...
Michigan almost won its second national championship in basketball.
Almost that is.
After establishing a sizable early lead over the Louisville Cardinals on Monday night in Atlanta, the Wolverines couldn't hang on in the second half and lost a heart-breaker, 82-76.
But based on a book add on amazon.com, The Detroit Free Press must have thought this was horseshoes or hand...
“Papa” John Schnatter is, of course, the founder of the Papa John’s pizza franchise, and he’s a graduate of Ball State University. But as most people already know, Papa John is a huge University of Louisville supporter, as his company holds the naming rights to Louisville’s football stadium. After all, Ball State is the Cardinals and so is Louisville, so it is what it is...

According to Curtis Eichelberger of Bloomberg.com, Rick Pitino will receive a $425,000 bonus for winning the 2013 National Championship.
Pitino was already set to make $5.7 million this year, making him the highest paid coach in college basketball. It’s hard to argue that Pitino isn’t worth every penny, considering the Louisville basketball program brings in more than any other...
Who to believe?
Russ Smith, who says he is undecided about whether he will enter the NBA draft? His dad who says Russ is gone?
Or Rick Pitino who says it is 50-50 whether Smith will return to play basketball at the University of Louisville next season?
Gorgui Dieng, who doesn’t seem at all to be infatuated by the NBA and its riches, and indicates that he is happy here?
C.L. Brown, the Louisville beat writer for the Courier-Journal caught up with Rick Pitino following the Cardinal’s championship celebration at the KFC Yum! Center to get an update on the future of three members of this year’s team.
At this point, Pitino says Russ Smith and Gorgui Dieng will stay in the draft, while Chane Behanan will return to school. Midway through the season...
Is Russ ready?
His dad told AP’s Gary Graves, “At this point, there’s no other reason for him to come back. He’s had two sound years and did it all. He could come back next year but it might jeopardize his health. You’ve got to strike while the iron is hot.”
Here is a little opinion of mine:
His team has just won the National Championship, and the junior had...
After winning the 2013 national championship, Louisville coach Rick Pitino has settled on a tattoo design commemorating the big win.
It still doesn’t seem real. The Louisville Cardinals are your 2013 National Champions. I don’t think it’s hit me just yet. More than 24-hours later, I’m still not sure exactly what to do now. I’m not ready to start talking about next season just yet, so let’s relive Monday night’s game in Gif form.
Trez & Chane hug it out. That’s a championship bromance right...
Rick Pitino received a phone call from President Obama, who congratulated him on Louisville's title and said he is "proud" Kevin Ware.
