Charlie Strong and his staff have had quite a week on the recruiting trail. They landed their fifth commitment of the week on Friday afternoon. Cameron Polk, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound, wide receiver from Indianapolis, IN., has verbally committed to Louisville. Polk is a three star prospect. He chose Louisville over the home state school Indiana.
Polk also had scholarship offers from Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan. Kentucky, Purdue and Northwestern hadn’t offered, but all three schools have recently showed interest.Prior to his sophomore year of high school, Polk had never played organized football.
He is the 19th commitment for Charlie Strong in the 2014 and the fifth wide receiver. As a junior in 2012, Polk had 31 receptions for 762 yards and seven touchdowns.
