Cincinnati got back on the sunny side of the scoreboard by completely wiping out Northwestern State, 66-9. The Bearcats took a drive to get going. Once they did, the Demons had no chance. It was the first time UC broke 60 since the 72-10 victory over Austin Peay to start the 2011 season. The star of the game was Brendon Kay. He went 12-14 for 277 yards and 4 TDs. He looked pretty healthy. I'm sure he looks pretty healthy in practice, because this game was like practice. There was no pressure. There was no real competition. Kay looked great though. He dropped deep passes on the reg. It was a great game by Kay. Bennie Coney saw a lot of time as expected. He handed off very well. His hand offs had Northwestern State on their heels. Coney also threw his first TD pass, a 44 yard strike to Shakim Alonzo. It was the first career TDs for both. Michael Colosimo also saw his first career action. He threw a couple of passes that were complete. Kay was the only one to throw incompletions. I'm not saying Kay should be 3rd on the depth chart, the numbers speak for themselves. The receivers had a chance to shine as well. Max Morrison continued his breakout season with 87 yards and a TD. Blake Annen had a 49 yard catch. Mekale McKay caught his first career TD, a 40 yarder. Chris Moore also caught a TD. Hell, even Jared Golden made his first career catch for 32 yards. Running wise, Hosey Williams once again stole the show. He had 117 yards and 2 TDs. He broke the longest play of the season, a 77 yard run. RDA had  his best game of the year with 82 yards. He didn't score for the first time this year. Tion Green had 66 yards and a TD. Rob Rice, another walk on, had 18 yards and his first TD. Nick Temple looked great on defense. He had a pair of sacks. He is tied for the team lead with Silverberry Mouhon, who racked up his second sack of the season. Zach Edwards added an INT. Edwards has looked great this year.
