Holy Toledo there were some fantasy points scored last week! May the fantasy Gods be so kind to bless our line-ups with more West Virginia-Baylor type of performances.

Check out the other week 6 Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em articles for QBs and RBs right here.

Start ‘Em:

Keenan Allen – Cal vs. UCLA
Allen has yet to explode for a big game this season, but that could change against UCLA. The Bruins give up many big plays and could have a hard time containing Allen. This could be the week that Allen gets on track.
STAFF PICK – KEVIN MOUNT

Austin Franklin – New Mexico State at Idaho
Franklin came out of nowhere and has been a rock for fantasy owners. Idaho is giving up 25 fantasy points per game to opposing receivers. This is pretty simple to figure out.
STAFF PICK – JOE ARPASI. TODD DEVRIES

Robert Herron- Wyoming vs. Nevada
Herron may have some rust to knock off but the same guy who put up over 170 yards against Texas should be right back to form against a porous Nevada secondary.  The fact that the Wolfpack will put points up at will also means that Brett Smith will be slinging the pigskin aplenty to try and keep up
STAFF PICK –ERIK TJADEN

Donte Moncrief – Mississippi vs. Texas A&M
The Aggies are going to put up big points in this contest and Ole Miss will have to throw-throw-throw to try and keep pace. This looks like the perfect match-up for Moncrief to get force fed the ball and not have to face a defense the like of Texas or Alabama.
STAFF PICK – JOE ARPASI

Jaxon Shipley- Texas vs. West Virginia
Shipley has picked up where is older brother left off as a cerebral player who has the ability to get open in traffic or get behind a defense.  The Mountaineers have an opportunistic defense but they are still succeptible to the big play.  Along with that, quarterback David Ash is looking poised and should be able to methodically piece apart the ‘Eers.
STAFF PICK - ERIK TJADEN, TODD DEVRIES

Tommy Shuler- Marshall vs. Tulsa
Shuleris coming offa ridiculous 19 catch for 200 yards performance against Purdue. He is averaging just over ten receptions per game and 107 yards receiving. Fantasy owners can pencil Shuler in for at least 8 grabs and 90 yards in a potential shootout with the Golden Hurricane.
STAFF PICK – KEVIN MOUNT

Sit ‘Em:

Brandon Coleman – Rutgers vs. Connecticut
Coleman is one of the streakiest fantasy players of the season. He has scored 29 fantasy points over the last two weeks but those numbers are deceiving. He has only caught four passes and turned three of them into scores. Look for a tough UConn defense to bring his stats back to reality.
STAFF PICK - JOE ARPASI

Erik Highsmith- North Carolina vs. Virginia Tech
Highsmith has been the team’s most consistent receiving option all year but against the Hokies, Highsmith may be an afterthought after the first quarter.  Virginia Tech cornerback Kyle Fuller will likely be on Highsmith the bulk of the night which should effectively erase him from the Tar Heels’ offensive plan.
STAFF PICK - ERIK TJADEN, TODD DEVRIES

Cody Hoffman – BYU vs. Utah State
Hoffman has struggled mightily the past two games only totaling 37 yards in that span. His future does not look much brighter this week against a Utah State defense that ranks 15th in the nation.
STAFF PICK - KEVIN MOUNT

Dawan Scott – Miami, OH at Cincinnati
As I mentioned in the QB article, Dysert struggles whenever he faces Cincinnati. Although Scott has been on a tear the last two weeks, if Dysert can’t reliably get the ball down the field, then Scott can’t reliably score fantasy points.
STAFF PICK - JOE ARPASI & KEVIN MOUNT

Eric Ward – Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma
Ward has posted 212 yards and four touchdowns over his past two games. He could struggle to approach anything near that this week facing a stingy Oklahoma pass defense. This game features the #1 & #2 ranked pass defenses in the country so the numbers could be down.
STAFF PICK - KEVIN MOUNT

Week 5 Start Pick Accuracy

1.     Kevin Mount – 20.5 FFP
2.     Erik Tjaden – 16.5 FFP
3.     Todd Devries – 8.0 FFP

Week 5 Sit Pick Accuracy

1.     Erik Tjaden – 5.5 FFP
2.     Todd Devries  – 10.0 FFP
3.     Kevin Mount – 14.0 FFP
