The Florida State Seminoles have high expectations as they begin the 2012 College Football season, and a 69-3 victory over the Murray State Racers was certainly a nice way to start their campaign.
But not all of the news was good for FSU, as they have lost another player to a devastating injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.
Defensive end Brandon Jenkins suffered a Lisfranc injury to his left foot in the romp, and will now miss the rest of this season. Even more devastating for Jenkins is that he made the decision to return for his senior season after recording 21 1/2 sacks over the past two years as a starter for the Seminoles defense.
It is not yet known whether or not Jenkins will end up using a red-shirt season and return next year, or if he will enter the 2013 NFL Draft in April.
