Welcome back to another edition of the college football awards, which are a little late this week thanks to us being caught in the rubble of the BCS shake-up this weke, much like every one else.Let's get started...The "Big Game Bob comes up small" award goes to Bob StoopsThis one is really your fault, ESPN. Because you, more than anyone involved in the college football landscape, perpetuates the myth of Bob Stoops as a big-game coach. But if that was really the case, than what would explain the Sooners' failure to win a big game at home for the second time this year? But at last we have the guts to admit that, which means we have more guts than his team exhibited against Notre Dame. But for every ying, there is a yang, which leads us to...The "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" award goes to Not...

NORMAN, Okla. — Head coach Bob Stoops got on the conference call again this morning to review the loss to Notre Dame, and Sooners Illustrated has all the discussion.

Bob Stoops says critics of Sooner QB Landry Jones "aren't very intelligent about football."

Oklahoma head football coach Bob Stoops had a few words to say about the critics of Sooner starting quarterback Landry Jones following the team's 30-13 loss to Notre Dame. None of which, needless to say, were very complementary. “People aren't very intelligent about football,” Stoops said. “I'm not criticizing them; it's not what they do. ... People...

H.S. football player pulls crazy acrobatic move

Doing a front flip is hard enough. Doing it in football pads over a defender adds to the degree of difficulty. Although it's only a scrimmage, one youngster took his gymnastic talents to the gridiron, and flipped over his teammate/defender during practice. The young man then continues past the rest of the defense, before stopping his run prior to reaching the endzone...
