Larry Brown Sports:
Many were surprised when it was announced on Sunday night that tight end Colt Lyerla was leaving the Oregon Ducks football program. Lyerla had problems throughout his college football career, but a lot of people probably figured the two sides would work things out. Instead, Lyerla has left the team, dropped out of school and […]

EUGENE- To no one's surprise, less than 24 hours after the departure of tight end Colt Lyerla, the Oregon Ducks were already onto Husky prep week, the absence of a former star already in the rear view mirror.
Starting Oregon Tight End Colt Lyerla has left the football team. The exact reason is uncertain at this point but we do know that Colt and new head coach Mark Helfrich never quite saw eye to eye. In fact, Lyerla was suspended for the last game. Here is what Lyerla had to say through the statement released by Oregon:
“I love everyone at Oregon; everyone’s on good terms, I believe...
In what might be seen as Nike’s boldest move since it began its deal as the official on-field apparel brand of the NFL last season, the world’s largest shoe and apparel company unveiled its Pro Bowl uniforms Tuesday morning.
Gone are the blue and red that have represented the NFC and AFC teams, respectively. The new colors? Bright orange and volt yellow, the color that Nike has...
According to a report by GoDucks.com, Oregon junior tight end Colt Lyerla has left the program.
After being suspended for the Colorado game, Oregon Ducks tight end Colt Lyerla has withdrawn from the school altogether - although he does so on good terms.
But No Oregon Duck Football.
Lots of birds at Cannon Beach.
Seagulls, puffins, cormorants, pelicans, crows, swallows, jays, a titmouse.
The whole flock flew between Hemlock Street and Haystack Rock.
Just no Ducks. Plenty of wind and rain, but no Ducks.
What did Cannon Beach sports fan miss?
The most engaging football being played in the nation, that'...
Oregon’s players definitely have the right to be confident heading into any matchup, but they’d be wise to take a few of their opponents more seriously than others. The Ducks travel to Husky Stadium for a tilt with No. 16 Washington this Saturday in what’s being billed as a “blackout” for fans, so the atmosphere is expected to be pretty rowdy. Still, Oregon sophomore tight...
Honestly, it's Marcus Mariota's world and we all just live in it.There are some things that have impressed me this college football season, Mariota being one of them. The Oregon Ducks quarterback just rolls up high numbers, runs to daylight and continues to take Oregon to heights unknown. This week, the numbers weren't bad. The Ducks feasted on the Colorado Buffaloes...
Washington just lost a heartbreaker, 31-28, to the No. 5 team in the country, the Stanford Cardinal. But the Huskies will have no time to lick their wounds – the No. 2 ranked Oregon Ducks are coming to town this weekend.
The school has been hyping this one up for a few weeks now, and has released a two-part video series announcing a stadium “blackout” for the affair. Here...
There will be a few solid college football games being played this weekend. One of them will be the undefeated Oregon Ducks taking on the Washington Huskies. Both are ranked. Both are good, but in the end only one can win.
Everyone expects it to be Oregon of course, but should Washington pull off the win the team will be ready to head to the club and celebrate directly from the...
Today Andy Basantes of Movili Sports stopped by with three questions about the #2 ranked Ducks.
How do you feel the loss of TE Colt Lyerla will impact the Ducks moving forward?
Colt Lyerla has incredible talent, a physical mismatch at 6-5, 250. In his first two seasons he scored 11 tds on just 32 catches, also a load to tackle in a part-time role as a power running back.
Sunday Night Chat focused the news of Colt Lyerla's withdraw from school and the upcoming Oregon-Washington game.
Good morning. I’m ready for this weekend. You?
Apparently the Oregon Ducks are going to the Pro Bowl.
Given what I know about O.Co Coliseum, I’m just surprised nothing caught fire.
We have our first team in a League Championship Series, and it is the Dodgers.
