Last week, head coach Al Golden warned the media that Eric Ebron would be North Carolina’s biggest impact player. He was right.
This week, Golden says the player for the No. 7 Hurricanes to watch out for is Wake Forest flanker Michael Campanaro. Against Maryland, the redshirt senior broke the school record for career receptions. He had 11 catches for 122 yards in the Demon Deacons win. He now has 217 total catches, passing Desmond Clark who played 13 years in the NFL. Campanaro can be a dual threat. When the Demon Deacons get sneaky, he throws the ball, too. He scored two touchdowns against the Terrapins, one pass and one catch. He was named to the Midseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference team.
The offense is led by senior quarterback Tanner Price who has 10 touchdowns, three interceptions and three rushing scores. He has thrown for 1,476 yards so far this season, third in the ACC behind Tajh Boyd and Jameis Winston.
