Dear Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, we’re sorry: you have an attractive mom. She’s the one in the middle in the red cleavage showing shirt.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban discussed Mississippi State, his young breakout stars Amari Cooper and T.J. Yeldon, and his mother's carrot cake at his weekly Monday press conference.
For the first time this year, Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley was NOT selected by the Crimson Tide coaches as one of the players of the week. So when is a negative news? When the leading tackler and the man who made a key interception that led to a touchdown and had a tackle for loss doesn’t merit the list.
The Alabama Crimson Tide are once again the No. 1 team in the latest release of the 2012 BCS Standings, much the same as they are in the AP Top 25 as well as the Discover Fan Loyalty Poll. Alabama is the top team coming off of another SEC Blowout against the Tennessee Volunteers, but do they deserve to remain as the No. 1 team in the BCS rankings?
I predicted that the Crimson Tide...
Florida remained at No. 3 in The Associated Press college football poll, though it did garner one first-place vote, narrowing the gap between the Gators and No. 2 Oregon.
Alabama is No. 1 for the eighth straight week, the longest stay atop the rankings by the Crimson Tide. Alabama received 59 of 60 first-place votes from the media panel. The Crimson Tide had been the unanimous No...
Offenses took to the air on Saturday, with quarterbacks such as Georgias Aaron Murray and Alabamas AJ McCarron posting record-setting performances.
Mississippi States Tyler Russell also had a strong performance (17-of-21 passing for 191 yards and three touchdowns), but couldnt break onto this weeks SEC Honor Roll:

Alabama has run its streak of weeks at No. 1 in The Associated
Press college football poll to eight, the longest stay atop the
rankings by the Crimson Tide.
While it’s still a little early to say who the leader is for the Heisman trophy, here’s the top five we have after week 8.
1. Collin Klein, Kansas State
Stats: 10 passing touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 14 rushing touchdowns, 551 rushing (63rd), 1379 passing (85th), 2nd in passing efficiency, 32nd in total offense
Collin Klein has been soldering along at Kansas State with about...
Stop me if you’ve heard this one. “Alabama hasn’t played anyone.” The big test is always coming, and thus far the Crimson Tide has been able to handle it. To be sure, the Crimson Tide benefited from some bad injury luck, Arkansas and Missouri not having their starting quarterbacks when they played Bama. Regardless, drama has not been the theme of Tide football games this season.
Darius Paige has dealt with rumors surrounding his recruitment since he transferred high schools from Florida to Alabama earlier this season. But months later, the Crimson Tide commit is all smiles as he helps lead the Foley (Ala.) Lions to the playoffs.

Football historians can cite numerous examples of the kicking game being paramount in the classic Third Saturday in October clashes between Alabama and Tennessee. Legendary coaches Robert Neyland for the Vols and Paul Bryant for the Crimson Tide put utmost importance on special teams.
