Florida’s injuries extend beyond the quarterback situation and the team could be without some key players when it heads to Auburn this week.
The new addition to the injured list is DE/LB Ronald Powell, who signaled to the coaching staff to bring him out early in the second quarter of the team’s 41-11 loss at No. 1 LSU on Saturday.
It was unclear how Powell was hurt, but he watched the second half in a sweat suit and hat.
Safety Josh Evans also left the game. He had his left arm in a sling afterward.
All coach Will Muschamp said of the injuries was this: “I don’t know exactly the depth of the injuries, but they were pulled in the second half.”
Other injury notes:
– RB Jeff Demps (left ankle or knee injury) was pulled from kick return duty. At running back, he carried only twice. He had a gain of 3 yards and a 3-yard loss on Florida’s second series.
– DT Jaye Howard left the game with an unknown injury, but returned.
– QB Jeff Driskel (sprained ankle) did not dress.
