Very early in the Nick Saban era at Alabama – like before the beginning of his first spring practice – we learned that Saban does not use a depth chart, at least not in the very public way that some coaches do. We did learn that on the Monday prior to the opening game of the season that he will give reporters a depth chart. Another depth chart will be issued prior to a bowl game.
