Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is projected to be the first quarterback taken in next year’s NFL Draft. As long as Teddy stays healthy, I think it’s safe to say that he’ll likely head to the professional ranks following his junior season. However, Bridgewater may not be the only one who forgoes his senior season.
Junior wide receiver DeVante Parker is coming off a big sophomore season and may also end up getting drafted in 2014. Chris Burke of Sports Illustrated has Parker being taken with the 26th overall pick in his 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
26. Cincinnati Bengals — DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville: Another potential underclassman, I’m guessing Parker would declare for the draft if he and Bridgewater dominated again. Parker stepped up as Louisville’s top option in 2012 (40 catches, 10 TDs) and brings a tantalizing mix of speed and size to the table.
