The 2013 College Football Season is just 45 days away, which means the preseason award watch lists are being released daily. Louisville has already had multiple players named to numerous different watch lists and on Thursday morning two more Cardinals received the preseason honor.
Louisville running backs Senorise Perry and Dominique Brown have been added to the initial watch list for the 2013 Doan Walker Award, which is given annually to the top running back in the country.
Perry, a 6-foot, 187-pound, senior played in ten games in 2012 before tearing his ACL against Syracuse. In just ten games, Perry ran for 700-yards and led the team in total touchdowns with 11.
Brown, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound redshirt junior missed the entire 2012 season with a nagging knee injury. He was back to 100% with a few games left, but the staff decided not to burn an entire season of eligibility for just three or four games.
