Found November 28, 2012 on Blatant Homerism:
This week it's not a team, a player, an offense or a defense but an entire conference that has seized the No. 1 spot. 1. The ACC It's not bad enough that the ACC somehow cannot keep Maryland from leaving. The on-the-field performance was even worse. Let's recap: *At home, Florida State got smashed by a Florida team that struggled to score points against an otherwise bad non-conference schedule. *Clemson was defeated at Death Valley by a South Carolina team led by dead Welsh poet Dylan Thompson and without star Marcus Lattimore. *Wake Forest got destroyed by the same Vanderbilt team that lost to Northwestern. *Georgia de-engineered Georgia Tech completely. 2. Missouri Mizzou's entrance into the SEC has been a wholesale disaster. One conference win over sad sack Kentucky, which had already fired its coach. Add in an embarrassing loss to a bad Syracuse team. Mizzou and Texas A&M entered the SEC at a similar level talent-wise, w...

WTH Moments – Texas vs TCU

WTH?! (What the Heck?) moments are attempts to find the memorable and the off-beat perspective on Longhorns sports. Here are some interesting moments from the Texas game against the TCU Horned Frogs. Pregame WTH Handshake?! Shouldn’t Texas have something more for the seniors on their final home game? A handshake or a hug from Mack Brown and then you run to a cluster of people...

After Two Years Texas STILL Has a QB Controversy

At this point in 2011 Texas was 7-4, out of Big12 title contention, and unable to decide between Case McCoy and David Ash at quarterback. At this point in 2012 Texas is 8-3, out of Big12 title contention, and unable to decide between Case McCoy and David Ash at quarterback. Meet the new Texas. Same as the old Texas. The Longhorns 2011 season was derailed by Mack Brown'...

Wildcat Thoughts with Wes

Will the Longhorns leave Manhattan with a win? Photo: The U.S. Army The game tomorrow evening will be tough for the Longhorns as they travel to enemy territory, in Manhattan, Kansas. The Longhorns come into the game as underdogs and will be at an even bigger disadvantage without starting quarterback David Ash.  Even though Ash had a terrible game last week, I’d still feel better...

Texas Longhorns at Kansas State Jayhawks point spread, line and preview

Kansas State will not compete for the BCS Championship. On Saturday they will try to defeat the Texas Longhorns to earn at-least a share of the Big 12 Championship. Should Oklahoma lose earlier in the day against TCU then they will claim the title solely. For Texas it has been a rough season filled with questions about the status of Mack Brown and a defense  who struggled to stop...

Texas-Kansas St. Preview

It probably wasn't the most happy of Thanksgivings for seventh-ranked Kansas State. The Wildcats had climbed ever so slowly to No. 1 in the BCS standings before losing two weeks ago at Baylor, ending their perfect season along with their national championship dreams. And due to a quirk in the schedule, they had last week off, giving them some extra time to stew over what will...
