Sophomore receiver Quinton Dunbar was adamant Thursday that the Florida Gators of 2011 had too much talent on the field not to produce at a higher level. Dunbar believes that a new attitude has started to enter in the ranks and the 2012 version of the Florida Gators will be a lot different team. Virginia is about to put its pack-line defense on display for the nation against a Florida team well-suited for attacking it.
The 10th-seeded Cavaliers (22-9) and No. 7 Gators (23-10) meet Friday in the NCAA West Regional in Omaha, Neb.

For as over-matched as Florida was against No. 1 Kentucky last Sunday, the Gators hung around long enough to make the second half interesting.
But in the final nine minutes, a combination of ill-advised shots and flat-out, wide-open misses doomed the No. 16 Gators in a 74-59 loss before 12,113 at the O’Connell Center.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- Bradley Beal had 14 points and 11 rebounds, reserve Casey Prather scored a career-high 14 and Florida pulled away in the second half for a 71-45 victory Friday over Virginia in the NCAA West Regional.
The Gators finished the first half on a 17-4 run to shake off a slow start and get out to a 30-22 lead. They shot 70 percent in the second half, pushing their lead...
The Florida Gators trounced Virginia 71-46, the Cavaliers worst loss of the season. Sophomore forward Casey Prather stole the show for the gators with his career high 14 points in the game, but it was a total team effort for the win.
