Keith Price threw two second-quarter td passes to lead Washington to a 38-6 win over #19 Boise State in Husky Stadium last night. Price was 23-31 passing for 353 yards, while Bishop Sankey carried the ball 25 times for 161 as the Huskies rolled up 592 yards of offense, handing Chris Petersen the worst defeat of his career at Boise. Three Dawg Night: The Huskies blocked a field goal and stymied a running play on 4th and 1 in shutting down the Broncos offense. They travel to Illinois next weekend (espngo.com photo). Virginia's Kevin Parks battered his way through three tackles for a 13-yard touchdown run with just 2:36 to play, as the Cavaliers gutted out a 19-16 win over BYU. Virginia managed just 14 first downs and 223 yards in the game, but rode a stubborn defense to the win. A bad shotgun snap in the second quarter earned them a safety and a 12-7 lead at halftime. The Oregon State Beavers stumbled to a wild, crushing 49-46 loss to FCS power Eastern Washington at Reser Stadium. The Eagles built a 29-17 halftime lead and hung on the for the win despite 422 yards passing for Sean Mannion (3 tds, no interceptions) and Brandin Cooks' 13 catch for 196 yards and two tds. OSU couldn't get anything going running the football, losing badly at home even though they had no turnovers and just 17 yards in penalties. Dual-threat quarterback Vernon Adams of EWU passed for 411 yards and 4 tds, ran for 107 yards and two more as the Eagles gashed the Beav defense for 625 yards.  Mike Riley's 0-1 squad hosts Hawaii on Saturday. Elsewhere, USC rode a stifling defense to top the Rainbow Warriors 30-13 in Aloha Stadium, a game that was 5-3 midway through the second quarter. The Trojans intercepted Hawaii quarterback Taylor Grahmam 4 times and sacked him seven times. Neither USC quarterback was effective, but tailback Tre Madden has 18 carries for 109 yards. Among other future Duck opponents, Utah edged Utah State 30-26, Arizona rolled Northern Arizona 35-0, Washington State played tough but fell at Auburn 31-24. Cal travelled to #22 Northwestern, losing 44-30. The Wildcats intercepted new Bear quarterback 3 times, returning two of those for touchdowns. UCLA tromped Nevada 58-20 as Brett Hundley passed for two tds and ran for two more. Tailback Jordan James ran for 155 yards and one td as the Bruins scored 41 points in the second half.
