This will all be over soon. I promise. Unfortunately I can’t say if it will be good news or bad news for Louisville fans. ESPN.com’s Chris Low is reporting that Charlie Strong has emerged as the top candidate for the head coaching position at the University of Tennessee. It appears that we’ll know within the next 24 hours if Charlie Strong will be wearing Cardinal Red next season, or Tennessee Orange. There was nothing from yesterday’s press conference that should make Louisville fans feel confident that Strong will be back next season. Although all signs point to Tennessee, there is still no way of actually knowing if he’s gone. One thing we do know is that it’ll come down to Charlie deciding if he wants to be at Louisville or not. Tennessee has reportedly offered him 3.7 million dollars per season, which would make him fifth highest paid college coach in the country. I can assure you that Tom Jurich will and can match Tennessee’s initial offer. It’s your move, Charlie….
