Who: Toledo Rockets (9-3) vs Utah State Aggies (10-2) Where: on the Blue Turf in Boise When: Saturday December 15th, 4:30 PM ET TV: ESPN Line: Utah State by 10.5 Ross: Toledo was one of several MAC teams that had strong seasons this year -- they finished 9-3 overall, with the three losses coming by a combined 21 points. They handed Cincinnati their first loss of the season, took Arizona to overtime, and lost by just a touchdown to Orange Bowl-bound Northern Illinois. Utah State was even better -- 10-2 and their two losses were by a combined 5 points to Wisconsin and BYU. They bring a top-10 scoring defense into the game (15.4 ppg, 8th best) and an increasingly potent offense: they scored 40+ in five of their last six games. I think Utah State rolls over Toledo to cap off an impressive 11-2 campaign. UTAH STATE 41, TOLEDO 21     Kevin: Both of these two teams have some decent wins on their resumes. Toledo beat Cincinnati and Bowling Green (8-4) and Utah State beat Utah, SJSU (10-2) and La Tech (9-3). The guy to watch when the Aggies have the ball is QB Chuckie Keeton. He completed 67% of his passes and had a 3:1 TD to INT ratio this season. He can also make you pay with his feet when he needs to (121 yards rushing and 2 rushing TDs against La Tech). The bottom line here is that this game should be fun. Utah State played in 2 overtime games this season (winning both) and Utah played in one. As Ross mentioned, the margin of defeat has been very small for these teams (Toledo's is 7 ppg and Utah State's is 2.5 ppg). I think this could go either way but I'm going to take Utah State.   UTAH STATE 35 TOLEDO 28     For additional coverage of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl check out Let's Go Rockets and USUfans.com. If you are thinking about betting on this game make sure you head over and read what our buddies at The Saturday Edge have to say before you plunk down any of your hard earned cash.
