In a move that should signal Frank Verducci is staying at Florida, Kansas coach Charlie Weis hired Tim Grunhard as his offensive line coach. The Gators brought in Verducci in January, and coach Will Muschamp said one of the main factors in the hiring was his prior experience with Weis. Gators Promoting Continuity on Offense

The Gators didn’t play any games this week because of exams, but head coach Billy Donovan used the practice time to help the team gain a better understanding of what he wants on offense. Game Notes - Bowl Edition: Gators Prepare to Face Buckeyes in Jacksonville

The University of Florida (6-6, 3-5 SEC) will travel to Jacksonville for the 2012 Gator Bowl to face The Ohio State University (6-6, 3-5 Big Ten) at EverBank Field on Jan. 2 at 1 p.m. on ESPN2. The Gators finished the season third in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division, while the Buckeyes finished fourth in the Big Ten Leaders Division.
