Chris Rainey isn't scared to tell everyone how talented his team is despite a couple of blowout losses to the top two teams in the land. The Gators have been pummeled over the last two weeks by Alabama and LSU, but Rainey thinks they have more in them. He knows seniors like himself need to step up and help out the young guys get over the hurdles and he plans on doing it.
The Gators don’t have many upperclassmen to help lead the team through its recent two-game losing streak. Omar Hunter has been a vocal player on and off the field since coming to Florida, but there’s only so much one player can do. Hunter has been encouraged to watch as young players step up and become more vocal through the recent struggles.

After what happened last week, we’ll probably have to update the Florida quarterback race every day or every hour leading into the game at Auburn on Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN). True freshman Jacoby Brissett began the week as the starter, but coach Will Muschamp said fellow true freshman Jeff Driskel will compete for the job if he’s healthy enough.

Florida basketball coach Billy Donovan told the Gainesville Sun tonight he has allowed suspended forward Cody Larson to rejoin the team. He had been suspended since April.
Larson and teammate Erik Murphy were arrested April 10 and charged with felony counts of burglary. They allegedly tried to break into a car. The charges later were reduced to misdemeanors, and both players agreed...
