After what happened last week, we’ll probably have to update the Florida quarterback race every day or every hour leading into the game at Auburn on Saturday (7 p.m., ESPN). True freshman Jacoby Brissett began the week as the starter, but coach Will Muschamp said fellow true freshman Jeff Driskel will compete for the job if he’s healthy enough. Where does it stand as of today? It seems like 50-50. Florida center Jonotthan Harrison said both players practiced Monday and split reps. He did not know who would start. Last week, Muschamp said Monday and Wednesday that Driskel would start at No. 1 LSU, but changed his mind Wednesday night. Brissett started, and Driskel (sprained ankle) did not dress. “They’re both going to practice through the week,” Muschamp said Monday. “We’ll work with Jacoby as being the starter at this point and we’ll work through the week and progress to see who practices the best, and that’s true at a lot of positions.” Brissett, a Dwyer High School product, comple...
