It’s starting to boil over at Notre Dame. The Irish have lost two of their first five games. Pundits are calling for a change at quarterback. Students are upset with players not staying for the alma mater. Fans are openly ripping Tommy Rees on Twitter. And now, Kapron Lewis-Moore, former Notre Dame captain (and current Baltimore Raven) has gone on a Twitter rant in response, standing up for his former teammates. He did not hold back either. So you talk about players leaving the alma mater? What about fans that boo tommy? Fans that were coming for everyone heads after we lost to — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Tulsa, or Michigan at the big house, or NAVY IN THE MEADOWLANDS.. wait what about our so called fans throwing marshmallows at us. True fans STAY THE WHOLE GAME don’t boo don’t TALK MESS ABOUT TOMMY — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Or our play calling or whatever. the coaches gonna get it together players gonna get it together. Yes you are entitled to your opinion — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 But when you wanna bash the players that PUTTING IN YHE WORK ON AND OFF THE FIELD. Been coached by different coaches. Had three DL coach — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 and two head coaches. And we didn’t quit or give up. You circle the wagons and BALL OUT. the football team should just do the alma mater — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 The lockeroom by their damn selves since the fans wanna leave early. From a former player myself that does mean a lot. Means a lot for players — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Like I Said earlier. Players didn’t boo when y’all left against usf. Or again Syracuse, or y’all remember that over time loss to UCONN. — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Don’t get me wrong I love the fans y’all support but you just can’t be all in when we winning and everything. You gotta be there in the — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Low times too. And don’t worry I can keep going about the low times. — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 And to whoever players left the alma mater early y’all gotta have respect too though. That’s for ND something bigger than your self. I — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Letting y’all off the hook. But my rant was more for fans. — Kapron Lewis-Moore (@KLM_89) September 30, 2013 Lewis-Moore’s main complaint here? Fans need to support the team whether it wins or loses. He also acknowledges that the players shouldn’t have left before the alma mater.  Needless to say, the frustration level is quite high right now in South Bend.
