Charlie Strong and the Louisville football program welcomed multiple visitors on campus over the weekend. A few of the current commitments visited along with a handful of Louisville’s top targets from the 2014 class.
Blake Bone, a 6-foot-4, 175-pound, wide receiver from Woodruff, SC., was one of the higher rated prospects that visited campus on Sunday. Louisville appears to be a little late to the party in Bone’s recruitment, but it sounds like the four star prospect is now seriously considering the Cards.
Bone recently told Palmetto Sports that South Carolina, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Kentucky and Louisville were his top five schools, but he didn’t have a particular favorite.
Anyone who has followed Bone’s recruitment for the past year will tell you that he’s likely to stay in state and play at South Carolina, but that could change depending how his recent visits went. He finished his junior season with 65 catches for 1,150 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Not many people look back at the 1970s and 1980s Houston Astros “rainbow stripe” uniforms and think “wow, that look is sharp, we need to be more like those!” But at least one college team has. The Louisville Cardinals burst into the Nashville, Tennessee, Superregional against Vanderbilt with a “shades of red” style uniform that hearkened back to the Nolan Ryan,...

Louisville target Jaquan Lyle was in Louisville last night participating in the Kentucky vs. Indiana Junior All Star Game at St. Xavier High School. Considering he’s already in town, Lyle will take an unofficial visit to Louisville today. The Evansville native has already taken multiple unofficial visits to Louisville over the past 18-months.
