ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Devin Gardner will start at quarterback in place of Denard Robinson for a second straight week, a Michigan spokesman announced Saturday morning. Robinson sustained a nerve injury to this throwing elbow on Oct. 27, and Gardner replaced him for last week's 35-13 victory at Minnesota. Gardner went 12-for-18 for 234 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a third score. Robinson's earliest return would now be next Saturday against Iowa. To win the Legends Division and advance to the Big Ten Championship Game (televised by FOX), Michigan needs to win its last three games and have Nebraska lose at least once.
