The University Police Department arrested CB Marcus Roberson for allegedly drinking on campus last month, making him the seventh Florida player arrested under coach Will Muschamp.
The UPD arrested Roberson, 19, on Sept. 14, three days before Florida hosted Tennessee. He is charged with a misdemeanor count of underage possession of alcohol and pleaded not guilty Sept. 28, according to Alachua County court records. Records indicated this was Roberson’s first offense.
Roberson is being represented by Huntley Johnson, who handles most cases involving Gators players and coaches.
It is unclear whether Roberson was punished. Roberson, a true freshman, has started every game for the Gators this year.
Roberson’s arrest came two days after then-linebacker Dee Finley was arrested by UPD for driving a scooter without a license and resisting arrest. Prior to that, the Gators had gone almost two months without a player being arrested.
