Throw The Flag:
The Auburn Tiger Head Coach Gene Chizik is really on the hot seat. He had an amazing 2010 season with quarterback Cam Newton and running back Michael Dyer but thinks haven’t been going so well in Auburn, Alabama in 2011 and 2012.
In 2011, Ted Roof was the defensive coordinator and that seemed to be most of the problem. In 2012, Brian Van Gorder came in and it didn’t seem to help very much. Losing tight end Phillip Lutzenkirschen to injury didn’t help on the offensive side of the ball either. Scot Loeffler hasn’t been a stellar offensive coordinator as well. He came on to coach Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators as quarterback coach in 2009 and it looked as if Tebow become worse under his tutelage. Joker Phillips was just fired as the head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats yesterday by Mitch Barnhart. Could Chizik take over at Kentucky? Will Auburn even let Chizik coach out the end of the season?

Daren Bates of Auburn. It’s simple, really. When you not only use one arm to avoid being tackled, clearly you’ve done good work. When that “tackler” goes flying in the other direction video game-style, well, you’ve displayed a truly special stiff arm. This is one of those moments, and the dive on the end only [...]
Auburn hasn't had much to cheer about this season. The Tigers are having a miserable year, and coach Gene Chizik is likely to be fired after the...
Sure it was only against New Mexico State, but Auburn Tigers linebacker Daren Bates had some slick moves during this fumble return for a touchdown. He started it off with a nice spin move, and finished it with an absolutely devastating stiff arm. He made it look like he should be playing running back for them. The superman dive into the end zone for an unsportsmanlike conduct...

Tweet Not much has gone right for Gene Chizik and the Auburn Tigers this season. Entering today they were 1-7 overall and winless (0-6) in SEC play. But this is homecoming weekend at Auburn and New Mexico State (1-7, 0-4 in WAC) is in town. The Tigers are in good shape to secure win [...]
There is still a looooonnnngggg way to go with this one, but Georgia at least appears to be in heavy consideration for Adams. And, if I were the betting kind, I’d easily say that Clemson is the only other school getting serious consideration at this point. At one time, the Auburn Tigers looked to be heavily in the mix, but issues regarding the stability of their coaching staff...
