PLAYERS: Ryan Nassib
TEAMS: Syracuse Orange
According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith will throw at next week’s NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis. The agent of former Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib has told ProFootballTalk.com that his client will also throw at the combine. Quarterbacks are typically weary of throwing at the combine because they’re unfamiliar with the receivers they have to work with, which could make them look bad.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; ...

Jim Boeheim Refuses to Answer Andy Katz’s Postgame Questions, Calls ESPN Reporter ‘Idiot’ (Video)

It may be Valentine’s Day, but love wasn’t in the air Wednesday night for Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim and ESPN reporter Andy Katz. Following Syracuse’s tough loss to UConn on Wednesday night, Katz asked a seemingly harmless question about the rivalry between the two teams coming to a close. But Boeheim refused to answer his questions, calling the reporter “really disloyal”...

Jim Boeheim upset with Andy Katz over Bernie Fine issue

Jim Boeheim went off on Andy Katz following Syracuse’s loss to UConn Wednesday, calling the ESPN reporter an “idiot” and “disloyal person” while refusing to answer his question at a postgame press conference. The verbal assault towards Katz seemed unnecessary, excessive, and unprompted. As of Wednesday evening, the reason for Boeheim’s attack was not know, but there...

Jim Boeheim says his grudge with Andy Katz is over a Bernie Fine interview

Wednesday night Jim Boeheim made waves when he called ESPN college basketball reporter Andy Katz an "idiot" and "disloyal" at a postgame press conference.  While there were numerous theories as to why Boeheim would explode at Katz in such a way, initial reports were that Boeheim may have been upset over Katz's reporting that night on James Southerland, an...

Was Jim Boeheim Out of Bounds in Ripping ESPN’s Andy Katz?

Jim Boeheim is cranky, and he directed it at Andy Katz. His squad was upset by an unranked rival. He’s missing an important big man in Dajuan Coleman. His team has been hit or miss heading into the stretch run of the regular season. And one of his best scorers has been held out of a half dozen games because of a term paper snafu. After the 66-58 loss to UConn, which marks the last...

Jim Boeheim Calls ESPN’s Andy Katz An ‘Idiot’ And ‘disloyal’ Person (Video)

Syracuse head basketball coach Jim Boeheim has ring and wins protection having won a National Championship in 2003, and having amassed over 900 wins in his career. During his post game presser, Boeheim let it be known...

Jim Boeheim goes off on ESPN’s Andy Katz

Syracuse’s head coach Jim Boeheim was not a happy man following his team’s 66-58 loss to UConn on Wednesday. In the post-game interview, Boeheim took at a shot at ESPN journalist Andy Katz after he asked him about the UConn-Syracuse rivalry (which will no longer happen since Syracuse is going to the ACC). It’s still unclear what exactly Boeheim was upset about Katz about, but...

Jim Boeheim Went Off On Andy Katz Last Night

The storied Big East rivalry between Syracuse – Connecticut came to an end last night with the Huskies upsetting No. 7 Syracuse 66-58. Because Syracuse is in their last season with the Big East, these two teams will no longer face each other during the regular season. In Jim Boeheim’s post-game press conference he was rather salty to say the least. Not just because of the loss...

What SU coach Jim Boeheim should have said last night, as opposed to what he did

Last night, after losing to Connecticut, SU basketball coach Jim Boeheim offered one of the mournful, moping moments in an illustrious career of post-game meltdowns. He attacked an ESPN reporter for not being "loyal," whatever that means, and then just sounded like a sad old galump, beaten not only by U-Conn, but by the changes in college basketball that ended,  for now...
