Georgia sits at 3-0 after torching Buffalo, Mizzou, and Florida Atlantic in the opening weeks of the college football season. And while each of those games had their moments of head-scratching frustration, the general consensus is as follows: the offensive line is better than expected, the run game is as good as its ever been, and the defense is just about ready to hit its stride. That said, what has stood out the most of all of that is the play of Aaron Murray. Yes, it’s true he’s struggled at points this year, but it’s also true that he’s playing exponentially better than he did last season. He knows he’s surrounded by talent and he’s more than comfortable using it as much as possible. It’s a marked difference from last season when it seemed Murray had lost steam and hit the dreaded ‘sophomore slump’. But Murray never felt his regression was about his ability as a quarterback, rather just his trying to adjust to the changes on offense—not the least of which was the absence of star receiver A.J.
