Georgia Bulldogs star quarterback Aaron Murray had one of the worst games in his college football career as his team was blown out by the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday night. He was sacked, he was hit and he was intercepted. Murray had perhaps the worst game of his life when his team needed him the most. In the end, however, this was nothing in comparison to the rest of the week for Murray. Football is important, but it was nowhere near the top of his priorities list. On the same day that Murray’s Bulldogs were beat up by the Gamecocks, he found out that not only had his home been vandalized, but also that his father had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Murray tweeted his thoughts  after one of the worst days of his life. “Probably the worst 12 hours of my life but I know my family will push through. Keep my dad in your prayers please” Murray’s father is undergoing treatment in Tampa. He had reportedly been diagnosed weeks ago, but Murray and his siblings only found out ab...

Georgia QB has truly awful day

As if getting trounced by South Carolina 35-7 wasn't bad enough for Aaron Murray, the UGA QB also had his home vandalized before finding out his father has cancer.

Murray's father diagnosed with cancer before game

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray played one of the worst games of his career Saturday against South Carolina, and perhaps there was a reason besides the Gamecocks' smothering defense. Murray's father, Dennis, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer prior to the game. "Probably the worst 12 hours of my life but I know my family will push through. Keep my dad in your prayers...

Aaron Murray's house vandalized after Georgia loss to South Carolina.

Never let it be said that Georgia fans take a bad loss on the chin.  Bulldog linebacker Christian Robinson reported on Twitter that the house that he shares with UGA quarterback Aaron Murray was "egged and rolled" following the Dawgs' devastating 35-7 loss to South Carolina.   Came to a house that was egged and rolled. Wow! Athens Police to increase patrols of UGA Football players homes

Aaron Murray ((ht: onlineathens.com)) Really? It's come to this? It appears that Athens-Clarke County Police are going to start heavily patrolling neighborhoods lived in by University of Georgia football players. The Athens-Banner Herald reports police will do this during away games when the players often return home very late. And yes, this is due in large part to last...

Georgia Bulldogs: Player’s Homes to be Monitored More Closely

Now that half the free world has either run or written a story  about the vandalizing of Aaron Murray’s home in Athens, the local police of Athens-Clarke County have announced they will step up patrols around the residences of player homes when they are out of town on game day.  Another Georgia player who lives at the house, senior fullback Dustin Royston, filed a formal report...

No. 13 Georgia survives Kentucky, 29-24

Kentucky seemingly had an answer for everything No. 13 Georgia could offer Saturday night. Everything, at least, that didn't come from the right arm of Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray. Kentucky (1-7, 0-5) led three times and started the fourth quarter with the ball and a chance for a signature win again but fell 29-24 as Georgia (6-1, 4-1) handed the Wildcats their sixth...

Intolerable Acts of Fandom

Intolerable Acts of FandomI will never be ashamed to be a Georgia Bulldog. But today, I say with a heavy heart that I am ashamed to be lumped into a group of people who called themselves Georgia fans.Saturday night my Dawgs suffered a devastating loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks in Columbia, SC. But by Sunday afternoon, that 35-7 beat-down was the least of my worries as I heard...

South Carolina 35, Georgia 7: Gamecocks get college football's signature win in 2012

There’s no way to sugarcoat it: South Carolina’s 35-7 win over Georgia on Saturday night wasn’t just a one-sided beat down, but one of the most emphatic wins any college football team has had during the 2012 season. From the first snap of the game until the final whistle, the Gamecocks were bigger, stronger, faster and tougher, taking a 21-0 lead after a few short minutes...

Georgia fans egg and toilet paper a players house over a loss

On Saturday the Georgia Bulldogs took a beating against the South Carolina Gamecocks as they lost 35-7. With the loss, the Bulldogs now no longer control their own destiny in the SEC East. The loss had to be difficult for the players. Apparently, it was difficult for a handful of fans as well. Linebacker Christian Robinson claimed on his Twitter account a few hours after the...

'Dawgs LB says home egged after loss

Georgia linebacker Christian Robinson said on his Twitter account he returned from the Bulldogs' lopsided loss at South Carolina on Saturday night to find a house he shares with quarterback Aaron Murray "egged and rolled." Egg Roll... And We're Not Talking Chinese Food...

We're talking about what happens when you lose a game to a rival school... And the HQ means "really lose" Georgia LB Christian Robinson said on his Twitter account after UGA's loss at South Carolina: Came to a house that was egged and rolled. Seems that people turn on you when you're not perfect. Thought we were in this together. Robinson and QB...

Georgia Football Players Find House Covered in Eggs, Toilet Paper After Loss to South Carolina

SEC football is a different animal than most of college football, but that does not give fans an excuse for going too far in wins or losses. Georgia entered Saturday's match up with South Carolina ranked fifth in country but were hardly competitive as the No. 6 Gamecocks handed them a 35-7 shellacking. A road loss to a fellow SEC power should be looked on as forgivable, but a...
