After the surprising arrest of Issiah Crowel, followed by his immediate release from the team, some fans are calling for Mark Richt to be fired. Going into the 2012-2013 season 4 starters will be missing when UGA takes the field. Some people who follow the Georgia program are starting to say that Richt is soft and because of that he is having trouble controlling his program. Every year it seams that UGA has four or five key players who miss time because they have clashed with the law, or have been suspended because of Georgia’s strict drug testing program.
Since coach Richt is a soft spoken guy who is faster to forgive rather than publicly discipline his players, most fans blame him directly for the issues going on with these players instead of the players who actually get themselves into these situations. They know that they will be randomly tested for drugs and that it is illegal to carry guns, or that they have to attend class and follow required rules as a student athlete...
