This edition of Getting to Know the 2013 Bearcats is starting off with some news. But first, if you missed the first two editions of Getting to Know the Bearcats QBs and Kickers and Running Backs, click on the links. #63 - Dan Sprague Starting center Dan Sprague is out for the season following knee surgery. Sprague started every game last season at center. The senior from Worthington, Ohio will try to get another year. That's obviously a tough blow for Dan and a very tough blow for the UC offensive line. Hopefully Dan will recover well and will get another year so he can end his career on his terms. Photo via #71 - Eric Lefeld The junior from Coldwater, Ohio has started his last 18 games. A converted defensive lineman, Lefeld has become one of the premier offensive linemen in the American. He was tabbed first team All-Big East last year and was named to Phil Steele's first team all-American this year. Lefeld is also on the Outland Trophy watch list. He's played in every game the past 2 seasons. Lefeld is a rock on the line. #76 - Austen Bujnoch The senior from Elder is the starting left guard for the second straight year. Bujnoch has been named to the Outland Award watch list like Lefeld, but he was also named to the Lombardi Award watch list. Bujnoch is considered the best left guard in the league. He was first team all-Big East a year ago. He made the Steele first team for the American this year. Bujnoch is touted as one of the best NFL prospects on the team. He's also one of the brightest. Each of the last two seasons he was an academic all-Big East selection. Bujnoch was honored as the team's best lineman last season and will probably repeat if he keeps getting better and better. And it looks like he has. Bujnoch already helped UC to the very first American title, as he put down 8 lobsters at the clam bake. #60 - Sam Longo Sam Longo is a senior from Spring Valley, Ohio. He transferred from Ohio State and has been the starting right guard ever since. That was just one year, but Longo has been the guard. He's been pushed this camp, but the 6'5, 305 lb guard has the upper hand at keeping his position. The UC line was pretty damn awesome last season and Longo was a big reason why. He's also growing his out as well as his beard. That's important to note. Photo via #78 - Parker Ehinger Big Parker Ehinger took over as the right tackle week 3 against Virginia Tech and he doesn't look like he's going to lose it any time soon. The 6'7, 292 pound sophomore from Rockford, Michigan is a wall. He was a 3 star recruit out of high school, but has molded himself into a solid player. Photo via #59 - Deyshawn Bond Deyshawn Bond is a redshirt freshman from Warren Central in Indianapolis. That is a very popular pipeline for Cincinnati football. Bond was a 3 star recruit according to scout and 247, but just 2 stars from rivals. He was a guard in high school. He's probably made the move to center very easily if he's the starter now. I think he has a lot of potential. photo via #62 - Cory Keebler Not exactly the most flattering photo of Cory Keebler. The junior from Lakota East has seen action in many games the past couple of years. Either as a lineman or on some special teams duty. The 6'7, 294 pound left tackle is listed as an OR with Lefeld. He must be having a great summer. He was a 1 star recruit coming out of high school. The fact he's fighting with an all-Big East lineman for a job shows that star rankings are ********, what you do between the lines is all that matters. photo via #79 - Andre Cureton The other OR listed on the depth chart is at right guard, where Andre Cureton is giving Longo a run for his money. The senior from Pike High in Indianapolis was noted for losing a lot of weight a year or so ago. He's listed at 6'6, 310. Still a big man, but not as big. He saw some action at times last year. Not in every game, but in some games. Not enough games that this is his only photo: bio #75 - Kevin Schloemer Big Kev is a junior from Lakota West. He saw time in one game in 2011. Last season he saw action in more games. He played in the Belk Bowl for instance. He also played in a lot of the games that you would think the back ups would play. Schloemer is listed at 6'7 so I'm sure a lot of people have called him Big Kev, not just me to start this paragraph. Fun fact, I use to have a Wisconsin hat. So many people asked me if I went to Lakota West. I guess I had a Lakota West look about me. photo via #69 - Dominic Mainello Dominic is a junior from Beechwood High. He hasn't played a game as a Bearcat. He's listed as the back up center. Chances are that he will play in a game this year. There isn't much to say about Dominic because he has nothing in his bio. The only photo of him is this: which is from his bio. At least his bio contained something useful. #74 - Justin Murray Justin Murray is a sophomore from Sycamore High. After redshirting in 2011, he saw some blow out time last year. He recovered a fumble against Miami. So he had an impact in game action. Murray is listed as the backup right tackle. As we can see from this photo, he knows how to stretch. That's important with so many injuries in football. Have to stay loose. photo via #65 - Tyreek Burwell Tyreek Burwell is a transfer from SUNY Cortland. It says on his SUNY Cortland bio that he played tight end. He's 65 and a tackle at Cincinnati. He's 6'5, 230. The weight is very low for a lineman. I guess not all linemen have to be 300 lbs. They weren't in the 60s. If you saw the dude in the picture, you wouldn't try to mess with him because he looks pretty big. I guess unless you really wanted to fight him, but that's a weird personal issue between you and Tyreek Burwell. I just found Tyreek was on twitter like 2 minutes ago. That's where his picture is from. Follow him. photo via #66 - Garrett Campbell Garrett Campbell is a freshman from St X high school. He's 6'5, 308 and looks to be very friendly. Garrett is a preferred walk on to the program. I'm pretty sure he won't play this season, but he'll get to wear a uniform and that's pretty god damn cool. photo via #77 - Ben Flick Ben Flick is a freshman from Hamilton. He does not look like he wanted to take this picture. That's a shame for him because it ended up as one of the top google image searches for him. Flick is a 3 star guard. He was committed to UC for a while before the coaching change had him exploring his options. Obviously we know how that story ended because he's on the UC roster. I went to high school with a kid named Chris Flick. I wonder if there is some relation here. Hamilton is not a large city. photo via #73 - Ryan Leahy Ryan Leahy is the one sitting in the middle if you didn't know. He was a universal 3 star recruit in 2012 when he signed with Cincinnati. Most of his recruiting rankings concentrated on the defensive side of the ball. He's 6'6, 282 after redshirting last year. He seems like a nice guy. His dad graduated from UC. Also, I don't like the LaSalle logo very much. photo via #64 - Will Steur Will Steur is a freshman form Maderia High. He is 6'4, 303 pounds and that kid he is killing is like 4'7, 100 lbs. Steur is another preferred walk on to the Cincinnati program. Apparently Steur played basketball in high school as well. I saw his stats on max preps. Let's just say he's not going to be the next Connor Barwin. Will Steur will be the first Will Steur. photo via #67 - Kyle Williamson Kyle Williamson is a 3 star recruit, also from Maderia High. He and Steur probably hurt a lot of people. Williamson's Cincinnati career won't be getting off to a start this season. He injured his shoulder over the summer and is out for the season. It's a tough break for him because Kyle is one of my favorite Bearcats to follow on twitter. photo via
