Larry Brown Sports:
The rivalry between Clemson and South Carolina is one of the best in college football, and we all know how fans of rival schools can sometimes take things too far. It appears that was the case at some point earlier this week when a giant Clemson Tiger paw print was painted near the 30-yard line of South Carolina’s football field.
On Tuesday, South Carolina cornerback Victor Hampton posted the photo you see above on his Instagram account with the following caption:
“It’s war they put a paw on our field so #disrespectful.”
It also appears that the perpetrator(s) used their can of spray paint to tag up the train car that sits outside the stadium — also known as the “Cockaboose” — with the words “Go Clemson.”
Oh it’s on now. Actually, it was already on with both the Gamecocks and Tigers expected to be two of the better teams in the nation this fall. While vandalism is never something that should be accepted, at least the paw print and “Go Clemson” tag can be washed off or painted over.
BEST OF MAXIM
A Clemson fan apparently snuck into Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina and painted a Clemson “Tiger Paw” on the field. The picture was taken by CB Victor Hamilton and he is apparently not happy about it. He had this to say on Instagram.
It’s war they put a paw on our field so #disrespectful

South Carolina University is getting in the swing of college football early, and we are thankful for that. The University’s athletic department released a highlight reel for their star defensive end, Jadeveon Clowney, and it is wonderful. As long as Jadeveon can stay healthy this upcoming season,, he should have a long career ahead of him playing on Sundays.

Jadeveon Clowney is going to be the scariest player on the football field each and every week, no matter who South Carolina happens to be playing.
South Carolina cornerback Victor Hampton posted the above image to his Instagram account, and in case you don’t get it, that’s a giant Clemson Tigers orange paw print that some dastardly rascal spray painted on the field. To make matters worse, the very same scoundrel also sprayed “Go Tigers” on one of the Cockabooses next to the field, and when I finished laughing at that...
