Suspended Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson has submitted a request to be readmitted to Notre Dame. Coach Brian Kelly said Tuesday he expects to learn in mid-December if Golson will be allowed to return. If he is admitted, Golson would be eligible to practice with the Irish for a bowl game but wouldn't be eligible to play. Golson, who led the Irish to the national title game last year, was suspended by the school for the fall semester for using what he called ''poor judgment on a test.'' While the Irish wait to see if Golson returns, Kelly said the team is healthier, yet still banged up, after taking a rare week off from practice because of injuries. ''We're like everybody else in college football at this point of the year. We've got guys that are just fighting through it right now,'' he said. The Irish held their first practice Monday since losing 28-21 at Pittsburgh on Nov. 9. It was the first time in Kelly's coaching career...

Everett Golson Reapplies For Notre Dame

In May, it was revealed that Everett Golson was kicked out of school for cheating in the classroom. Everett Golson not too long ago admitted to cheating academically at Notre Dame. He sat down and did an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Andy Staples talking a little about what happened but ended the interview saying he wants to get back into school. According to Coach Brian...

Recruit says Notre Dame sent him 262 letters in same day

Another day, another example of ridiculous recruiting overkill.  5-star defensive tackle Matt Elam received 262 letters from Notre Dame in one single day, the same Matt Elam that received 182 letter earlier this year from the Kentucky Wildcats.  Notre Dame referred to it as his “pot of gold” and I’m guessing that this is a recruiting record for overkill.  His mailman must...

According to Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly, former Fighting Irish quarterback Everett Golson has reapplied to the university.

Good News for Notre Dame Fans-- Everett Golson has Applied for Reinstatement!

The season has not gone how fans of the Fighting Irish had hoped. It hasn't sucked, but coming off a championship caliber season last year many view it as a bit of a let down. Part of the reason has been the absence of quarterback Everett Golson, and on Tuesday fans got some good news concerning his future with the team.He is on the way back--if the school will let him.@GoFightinIrish...

Preview and Prediction: BYU vs Notre Dame

Week 13: BYU vs Notre Dame The Matchup: I view the BYU vs Notre Dame game this Saturday as the conference championship of sorts for the “independent conference”. All-time BYU is 2-5 against Notre Dame and hasn’t won since 2004. Both teams come in to the game at a respectable 7-3 this season. We should be in for a good contest with a real possibility of BYU coming away with...

Brian Kelly Says Everett Golson Has Officially Reapplied To Notre Dame

Notre Dame’s former starting quarterback could be Notre Dame’s future starting quarterback – that is, if the school allows him back on campus. Everett Golson, ND’s former signal-caller who was kicked out of the university for “poor academic judgement” earlier this year, has reapplied to Notre Dame. Coach Brian Kelly announced the news today during his press conference...

Notre Dame vs BYU: Jesus loves us more Bowl

Jesus loves us more, say the Catholics of Notre Dame. No way, Jesus loves us more, say the Mormons of BYU. I don’t know much about Mormons, except from what I learned from watching the Mormon episode of  “South Park” and “The book of Mormon. And I don’t know much about Catholics, other than they’re not very high on birth control or abortion. I do know that BYU’s football...

Photo: Recruit Matt Elam Claims Notre Dame Sent Him 262 (!) Letters

Four-star defensive tackle recruit Matt Elam might need a new postman if this keeps up. Elam posted a photo on his Twitter account of what he claims to be 262 letters sent to him by Notre Dame. Needless to say, it appears that the Irish are very interested in his services. 262 Letters Yes You Read Correctly 262 Letters From Notre Dame!! They Are Calling It My #PotOfGold #WorldRecord...

Two-game season for healing Irish

Notre Dame limped into its second bye week of 2013 with too few healthy competitors up front to hold a meaningful practice. Eight days later, they knocked off any potential rust, and with two games vs. quality opponents on tap, head coach Brian Kelly expects all hands on deck for Senior Day and the regular season finale at Stanford.
