Novak Was Close to Not Playing College Ball
Michigan Senior G/F Zack Novak has developed into a Cinderella story during his time in Ann Arbor -- from afterthought recruit to a three-year captain helping Michigan basketball regain its national prominence.
Michigan's Trey Burke likely in line for Big Ten freshman of the year
Despite contending for the Big Ten title, Michigan is not loaded with potential conference award winners. The most likely candidate is Trey Burke, who has become No. 11 U-M's everyman as a freshman and is battling Indiana's Cody Zeller for Big Ten freshman of the year. Burke is the most reliable player. Even during his off shooting nights, he finds a way to impact the game.

Michigan shuts down injured Horford for year
Michigan coach John Beilein said Jon Horford will continue to work out and rehabilitate the stress fracture suffered in his right foot in December, but he will not play in a game again this season.
W. Basketball. Iowa Closes Regular Season vs. Michigan
The University of Iowa women's basketball team will play its final game of the regular season on Sunday, hosting the Michigan Wolverines on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
