PLAYERS: Tajh Boyd
TEAMS: Clemson Tigers
I've been saying all year that no one will take Clemson seriously until they beat an elite opponent. The Tigers did just that on New Years Eve by taking down #8 LSU in the Chick-fil-A Bowl. Much of the credit is due to quarterback Tajh Boyd, who completed 72% of his passes for 346 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added another score with his feet. The junior had a remarkable 2012 season, leading the ACC in total offense and ranking 7th nationally. He completed 67.2% of his passes for 3,896 yards and 36 touchdowns. He also added 514 yards and 10 TDs on the ground. The Tigers finished the year at 11-2 and 11th in the AP poll, and with Boyd returning for his senior season there's no question he will be involved in the discussion for next year's Heisman. Consistency stands out with Priester

The third time may be the charm for Kyrin Priester and if so, the Clemson Tigers will get themselves some one they can rely on at wide receiver.
