Leftover Hot Dog:
Last week the LOHD staff did very well picking the games. Here are the standings and this weeks picks:
Auburn v. MISSISSIPPI STATE
LJ: Auburn made Clemson look good, Mississippi State gets it done at home.
Flounder: I like Dan Mullen in this game due to the Bulldogs ability to run. If Clemson can do it, so can MSU.
Bryant: Miss St. Mullen notches his first SEC West win not against Ole Miss.
Billy: Gene Chizik's record without Cam Newton? 21-30. No Cam Newton? Bulldogs win.
Western Kentucky v. ALABAMA
LJ: Western Kentucky should go ahead and just forfeit. Bama big.
Flounder: Bama will conquer the Hilltoppers. It could be ugly.
Billy: This is just as good as a bye week for Alabama. Tide cruise.
The rest of the conference picks are after the break...
Florida v. TEXAS A&M

You spent all off-season working out and practicing for this moment. Head coach Dan Mullen just gave you a great pre-game speech to pump you up. And now you are rip roaring ready to run out of the tunnel to a packed house at David Wade Stadium. Unfortunately some of your teammates can’t handle the situation and a 10 man pileup happens before you get past the smoke machine. Welcome...
It’s Thursday; time to select a placekicker, based on Mississippi State’s game-week practice routine. Or maybe better, time for a placekicker to stride forward and earn Saturday’s starting job. Either way Coach Dan Mullen can afford the patient approach.
Brandon Marcello, the Mississippi State beat reporter for The Clarion-Ledger, is making his third appearance on the 'Blogle after answering questions for us last season and this summer. Brandon can be found covering Dan Mullen's ego, I mean, the Maroons on Twitter and on his blog. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but he does a great job.
