Tigers coach Tabo Sweeney and the rest of Clemson players,
coaches and fans didn't know what hit 'em on Wednesday
There wasn't much to smile about for the Clemson Tigers after their 70-33 beatdown in the Orange Bowl on Wednesday night. And if the Tigers had to pinpoint one play when things really started going south, it would have to be this one.

Trailing 21-17 in the second quarter, but on the brink of a touchdown, Clemson running back Andre Ellington appears to jam his way in the endzone for a go-ahead score. Instead, West Virginia defensive back Darwin Cook emerges from the scrum with the football and takes the fumble 99-yards for a WVU touchdown -- a shocking turn of events indeed.

The score extended the Mountaineers' lead to 28-17, but the Co-Big East Champions weren't finished yet. QB Geno Smith and his team outpaced the dumbfounded ACC-Champion Tigers 21-3 over the rest of the quarter to take a 49-20 lead in the the half.

The 'Eers 49-point explosion was the most points scored by any team in the first half of a bowl game in history. That's ANY bowl game.

Here's the video footage of that play:
