College football needs their great athletes to stay for more wins and revenue for the university - not the players. Steve Spurrier feels that Jadeveon Clowney should play another year because he just needs to play football. Coach Steve Spurrier knows why he needs to play, and it's not for the good of Clowney's well being. Spurrier knows that with Clowney they have a shot at a national title. As a Georgia Bulldog fan, I hope Clowney never comes back to South Carolina. That's how much of an impact he has on the field.$76.92 million was the total generated for the South Carolina Athletic Department in the 2010-2011 fiscal year. College athletes are discouraged of the revenue from jerseys, tickets, and concession stand sales that they don't get. If I'm Clowney, I'm looking at the fact that my talent is rated so high to the extent that I can stay healthy and wait out another year. Clowney needs to look out for his career. If his career was over because of injury, I don't think the university would help him with the money they made from his jersey sales. How good has Clowney's career been? Clowney was the SEC's Freshman Of The Year in 2011. In 2012, he was a runner-up for the Heisman Trophy. He did this at the linebacker position and as a Sophomore. In his Sophomore year, he had 40 solo tackles with 13 sacks. If the NFL has any doubts about him waiting out a year, his physical presents of 6'6 254 pounds and speed of 4.46 in the 40 yard dash will change their mind.  He's a freak of nature who had Georgia's QB Aaron Murray having nightmares!Final Note:  For college fans who think the NFL is a greedy, money-sucking organization, the Southeastern Conference accumulated $214.5 million in the 2011-2012 fiscal year. Sweetheart's Stuff,  If you start paying college players you have to pay the band members for coming up with that great fight song. Then you have to pay "Johnny Long Legs" on the track team, all those "Air Jordans" and "Air Jessicas" on the basketball court, Nathan "Nemo" on the swim league, etc...Now you've turned a college into a business. The recession relapses, the business is bankrupt, no players, no games and that's o.k. Finally, I get to watch my Lifetime Movie Network.Happy,Sweetheart
