Two new match ups have been announced for UFC 161 as former Strikeforce champion Jake Shields will take on fellow Strikeforce alum Tyron Woodley, and the always exciting Pat Barry will face former LSU football star Shawn Jordan. The 170 lbs match is a very intriguing one and though Shields is one of the best in the world he is one dimensional. Shields is a wizard on the ground but his striking is sub par, even though he has been working with the legendary Jongsanan Fairtex. If he faces a superior wrestler, which Woodley would appear to be, then he usually has a difficult fight, à la GSP and Jake Ellenberger. That being said Jake Shields should never be underestimated as he comes from a great camp and has the ability to finish anyone if they make a single mistake. This is a huge opportunity for Woodley and I am sure he will train extremely hard for this fight.
